Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds on May 9 signed legislation that, in part, boosts funding for the state’s renewable fuel infrastructure program that helps retail fuel stations install equipment to supply higher blends of ethanol and biodiesel.
In April, the U.S. Grains Council led a group of Japanese journalists interested in biofuel production on a tour of several U.S. ethanol plants and organized meetings with supply chain leaders and policymakers.
The U.S. EPA, USDA and U.S. Food and Drug Administration on May 8 released a plan developed by the agencies to update, streamline and clarify their regulations and oversight mechanisms for products of biotechnology.
