The U.S. EPA has released renewable identification number (RIN) generation data for November, reporting that nearly 1.58 billion RINs were generated during the month, including nearly 27.83 million cellulosic RINs.

Nearly 27.64 million D3 cellulosic biofuel RINs were generated in November, including 19.06 million generated for renewable compressed natural gas by domestic producers, 5.02 million generated for renewable liquefied natural gas by domestic producers, 2.11 million generated for renewable liquefied natural gas by importers, 1.06 million generated for renewable compressed natural gas by importers, and 389,828 generated for ethanol by domestic producers.

During the first 11 months of the year, more than 252.84 million D3 RINs were generated, including 170.9 million generated for renewable compressed natural gas by domestic producers, 44.02 million generated for renewable liquefied natural gas by domestic producers, 23.67 million generated for renewable liquefied natural gas by importers; 6.4 million generated for cellulosic ethanol by domestic producers, 6.24 million generated for renewable compressed natural gas by importers and 1.62 million generated for cellulosic ethanol by importers.

According to the EPA, 185,644 D7 cellulosic diesel RINs were generated in November, all for cellulosic heating oil by importers.

During the first 11 months of 2018, 2.23 million D7 RINs were generated, including 2.22 million generated for cellulosic heating oil by importers and 11,256 generated for cellulosic diesel by domestic producers.
