RFA hires Redding, White

Two ethanol industry veterans are joining the Renewable Fuels Association.

On Nov. 1, Jim Redding will join the RFA as vice president for industry relations. Robert White joined the RFA on Oct. 5 as director of market development.

White previously served as deputy director of the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council.

"The RFA has been operational for 27 years, and is expanding to reflect the growth we have seen in the industry," White said. "I believe that this is the best place for me, as the technical staff is already in place to support market development efforts nationwide."

The combination of the RFA's expertise, along with the expanded staff that is yet to come, will make the RFA an even larger asset to the ethanol industry, White said. "Market development will continue to play a larger role as the renewable fuels standard (RFS) expands in years to come," he added. "I am confident that the RFA will help the industry meet these demands."

Redding has served more than 20 years in the ethanol industry with Aventine Renewable Inc. He will retire from Aventine to step in full-time at the RFA In his new position with the RFA, Redding will serve as the chief contact for RFA member companies as well as others in the biofuels industries.
