Abengoa receives grant for proposed plant

Abengoa Bioenergy Corp. has received a $4 million grant from the Illinois Renewable Fuels Development Program for a proposed $200 million, 88 MMgy ethanol plant in Madison, Ill. The new facility will be built by Abengoa on a 79-acre site. It will use 32 million bushels of "traditional cereal grains" per year as feedstocks and is expected to be operational by the end of 2009.
