Milwaukee, Wis.-based fermentation ingredients supplier Lallemand Ethanol Technology recently announced that Carl Gandolfo and Craig Ammann have joined their team. Gandolfo and Ammann will fill newly created sales manager positions.

Gandolfo will serve as Lallemand Ethanol Technology's eastern regional sales manager, while Ammann will serve as the company's western regional sales manager. Gandolfo previously served as the national sales manager for Code Blue Corp. and ICOP Digital Inc. He has more than 30 years of sales experience in the automotive aftermarket and security industries.

Ammann previously worked biofuels project management and engineering company KL Energy Corp. He has more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience, as well as experience in the communications industry.

In their new roles at Lallemand Ethanol Technology, Gandolfo and Ammann will be responsible for leading regional sales teams.

According to Craig Pilgrim, Lallemand Ethanol Technology's global marketing and product development manager, the company has added the new positions because it believes the ethanol industry will begin to grow again in the future. "We believe that the ethanol industry is going to bounce back," he said. "We want to position ourselves to make sure we are there when it goes back up again."

Lallemand Ethanol Technology is a business unit of Lallemand Inc., a Canadian yeast and bacteria producer. The company supplies fermentation ingredients, including yeast, yeast nutrition and antimicrobials, and value-creating services to the fuel ethanol industry. According to Pilgrim, Lallemand Ethanol Technology currently supplies products to more than two-thirds of America's ethanol plants.
