Representatives from the ethanol industry are among those on a California Air Resources Board-appointed expert workgroup. Mark Stowers, Poet's senior vice president of science and technology, and Jesper Hedal Kloverpris, a life-cycle assessment specialist for Novozymes, are among 30 people examining indirect land use change as included in the state's low carbon fuel standard. The group first met in February and will meet monthly until December, when it is expected to give its report to CARB.
