Ontario-based Woodland Biofuels Inc. was awarded $4 million from Ontario's Innovation Demonstration Fund. The company expects to begin construction on a demonstration ethanol plant this summer using its patented gasification technology. The plant will be located at the Bioindustrial Innovation Centre, in the University of Western Ontario's Sarnia-Lambton Research Park. When completed, approximately 15 months after construction begins, it will have a capacity of 750,000 liters of ethanol annually.
