FEW comes to an end

The last expo shipping package has been taped up and the technical breakout sessions are over. I hope everyone found the 2008 International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo to be a success!
Perhaps some of you will be touring Commonwealth Agri-Energy in Hopkinsville, Ky., today. The 33 MMgy corn-based plant came on line in 2004 and is managed by Mick Henderson. Although I won't be attending, some of our newer staff members will be. I know Commonwealth is a great facility. Contributions Editor Dave Nilles wrote a profile on them in our January 2007 issue (

As I walked through the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center over the past few days, I marveled at all the meetings, business deals, products on displayed and, most importantly, the information being exchanged. At times, the breakout sessions made me feel like I was absorbing too much information at once, but hopefully I took enough notes to take home and disseminate in the office.
