European producer reports doubled operating profit in Q3

EIA predicts strong ethanol rebound in 2014

On Jan. 8, the U.S. Energy Information Administration released the January issue of its Short-Term Energy Outlook, which is the first to include forecasts for 2014. The EIA's analysis predicts that ethanol production will rebound in 2013 and 2014.

Company pays penalty, lowers emissions after permit violation

Nebraska Corn Processing LLC has agreed to pay a civil penalty of up to $12,000 after a June 2010 test showed it violated its Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality permit. Since that time, the plant has maintained permitted emissions levels.
