US ethanol production breaks record for third consecutive week

The U.S. ethanol industry has broken production records for three consecutive weeks. Production reached a new record the week ending Jan. 13, averaging 1.054 million barrels per day, according to data released by the U.S. EIA.

President-elect Donald Trump has nominated former Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue to lead the USDA. The nomination, which is subject to U.S. Senate confirmation, represents Trump’s final cabinet selection. Perdue served as Georgia governor from 2003-2011.
